The city and beyond

Onn', one of my nice Cambridge friend (during my MPhil in 1999/2000), has moved to Bristol for a couple of years. I used to promise her that I will go to visit her some time but haven't done so until three years pass by...

At the end of my third year, Newnham College asked me to move out and everything was hectic. Fortunately, Aun+, another nice Cambridge friend, kindly volunteered to help.

An essential part of my moving plan is a car. Luckily, there is a weekend promotion from Hertz during that period. Based on this promotion, I decided to rent a car for the entire weekend... and therefore the plan changes from one-day moving a house to a weekend trip to Bristol.

Aun+ agrees about a trip to Bristol because his younger brothor Ohm is studying there. Going to Bristol allows him to visit his brother as well.

To make a trip more enjoyable memory, Aun+ and me decided to invite P' Mod to come along since we always travel together lately (e.g. the Isle of Wight gang -- Air and Sab were in Thailand during that time).

As a result, three of us took another journey together once again...

This trip leaves a number of excellent memorial in my mind. I was so impressed by Onn's hospitality.

Bristol is a hilly huge city along an elegant scenary of cliffs and forest not far from the city centre. The city offers a number of different experience to visitors ranging from old architectures (far above), a lively quay side (far above), colour full houses along the river (far above), natural beauty of cliffs (above right) and the amazing suspension bridge (top/right).

Yes, the thing that I like most is the two towers that hold the suspension bridge. That is because its shape looks like alphabet "A" which is the begin of my nickname (Au). So, I feel like it belongs to me ;)

Picture on the left is taken just for fun (idea by P' Mod). Since Aun+'s nickname also begins with "A". So, Aun+ and me are the owner of these "AA" towers.

The warmest dinner

After Onn' and Ohm (I've just noticed that both names begin with alphabet "O") showed us the real Bristol (e.g. a city sight seeing, lunch in a yummy Japanese restaurant, a suspention bridge trip, a boat trip and shopping!), we decided to have a nice "pancake" dinner (see photo << we forgot to take a photo before eating because we were too busy with our huge meal).

P' Mod is a great company along the entire trip (see the cheerful lady in the photo below). Onn' is an excellent host. Ohm is a really nice guy. And, Khun Aun+ is an amazing person who drove a car for this trip from dusk till dawn. Thank you so much everyone @^_^@
