Denmark: C o p e n h a g e n

Surprisingly, there is a high-speed train which brought us from Malmö (Sweden) to København (Copenhagen, Denmark) within only 35 minutes via the Oresund Bridge and tunnel.

'The Town Hall Square' is elegantly located not far from the train station, where a statue of famous "Hans Anderson" has been hidden in one corner.

'Great Lunch'

It is the first time that I've got a chance to try "Cavior" (and its eggs). The lunch at the open air restaurant in Højbro Square is really delicious, a waiter is so friendly and Denmark Beer taste pretty nice -- I only tried a little sip from P'Boy glass. In addition, we also enjoyed having a surprisingly LARGE ice cream while walking in the pedestrian area.

'The Royal Palace'

Christiansborg Castle seems is situated near by the river. Unfortunately, it was underconstruction. Thus, we only visited its court yard and garden ^^'

'Kongens Nytorv'

After that, we walked to Kongens Nytorv, a large circle, where we were impressed by the design of the opera house and couldn't resist taking 360 degree photo (above). The picture on the left is a behind the scene photo showing how Leo and P' Boy set up the camera -- though it took us a while being here ;)

'Nyhave'

This lively place is a major attraction of Copenhagen. We were so lucky that the weather was present. Thus, a number of people, including people from media, came here to have a drink, take photo or event record a video!!!

'Marmorkirken'

The Marble Church has a large dome confronts a changing guard square. There were a number of fine 'green' statues surrounded it (unfortunately, I didn't take them in the photo). One thing that I have noticed here is... most of the roof of buildings or statues were normally made with copper (which easily turns green when time pass).

The picture on the left was taken by using Leo's tripod with its shortest lenght placed on the ground together with a special lense on Leo's manual camera. I firstly tried to capture the whole dome with my stupid camera but couldn't mange to do that. So, if you would like to see more nice & large photo, do feel free to visit "Leo's photo album".

'The Little Mermaid'

Yes, she is a famous mermaid from Hans' Fairy Tale. This monument was built from the post of the real & first actress who played the little mermaid role. The size of the statue is exactly the same as real human sitting near by the sea waiting for her price (her face is so sad). Interestingly, a style of her leg with fin is very different from the fish tail that people often imagin about her.

'Rosenborg'

Things with a suffix '-borg' is normally a castle. Yes, here is another castle in the north of Copenhagen. It is very beautiful surrounded by a nice park and garden. When we firstly saw it, we said 'Wow!' as it seems to be an unarguable place to visit (though, our legs were very tired by that time).

Anyway, Leo still had a great idea on photographing. He set up his camera (right) and one last photo of us in Copenhagen (left). The style of laying down in a different direction was designed by him. I like this photo a lot :)

After that, we hurrily went to find some place to have a dinner. It wasn't much impressive though, but we can finished almost all Dennish Kroner (money!) there. And, we missed a last bus back to our place and have to took a cheaty taxi. However, above all, Copenhagen still remain as a nice place in my memory.
