Nikko is my personal little advanture before I leave Japan. This great experience is all own to the "Lonely Planet" little book (Tokyo version) that nicely guide me through all the hidden routes (Tokai-Nikko train, Bus, etc.)

The city is hiddenly located in the north of Tokyo. It tooks me 5 hours to go there from Yokohama (because I have got lost to some Onsen -- 3-4 stations mistake in ther subburb area resulted in 2 hours waste in a middle of no where ^^')
Unesco has given the "world heritage" entitle to its ancient part (the north of the city... where many shired and two famous shokun tomb with wise symbols are (Tokokawa Ieayashu and his son)..

I must said that I enjoyed my time in Nikko the most. However, so sad that it was rain pretty heavy during my visit.

The above right figure is a famous three wise monkeys that I like: hear no evil, speak no evil and see no evil :)

I spent quite an amount of money here (the entrance fee is quite expenive) but I can ensure you that every places here does really worth visiting.

The main tomb has two court... (separate tickets). The three wise monkey located at the outer court.

The inner court is the "must" because of its extra-ordinar beauty... there are 2 more important places/icons which are forbidden to be taken by the camera.

The first is a roaring golden dragon (if you crap your hand below it) which is so extremely beautiful more than word can say (so that the architect deliberatery swap one supportive pole upside down in order to let the god not jealous on this tomb to prevent any disaster).

A river here is very clear... green and blue. It reflects how close the nature you can touch from here (e.g. so much close to nature... so that the last train departed from this town is as early as 6pm! and there is not many tourist here < or probably due to the heavy rain).

I have also captured some movies showing how beauty the inner court and the outer court are... anyway due to the limited space on the web... I cannot show you here :'( -- please request me personally if you would like to see ~ 10Mb in total.
