Sweden: S t o c k h o l m

In the forth day, we hired another Volvo (a car that made in Sweden) from Hertz to drive to Stockhom. P' Boy and Leo were the drivers while I, sometime, helped them as a navigator (picture on the right). The distance is only 600+ km ^^'. Anyway, the car is so hi-tech and we enjoyed them a lot (e.g. CD player, cruising mode while driving)

'The First Night'

We arrived there without any plan and faced some problem about accommodation. Anyway, finally, we had got a place in AF Chapman (a ship hostel). It was recommended in a lonely planet guide book. The parking here is cheaper than in a town. So, after everything sorted out, we decided to park our car there and have a walk around the town in the modern/shopping area until very late at night.

'The Old City'

Early morning of the next day, we went out by crossing some bridges to the old city on a small island nearby. The island is so lively and lovely! It is worth to be defined as a world heritate towm from UNESCO (same hilly & old style as Edinburgh, Scottland). The weather was excellent on that day too :)

'The Royal Palace' is opened for visitors to enjoy their changing guards. All guards seems to be not so serious (e.g. they started by some step-dancing from the building towards the palace's square, one guard also acted as an MC announcing the event in both Swedish & English language).

'A Main Church'

A baroque style church is situated next to the royal castle. Gold and red brick made it look so bright and colourful. There were one impressive "St' George kill a dragon" statue which we couldn't took a clear photo of him. An interesting fact is... the head of dragon is exactly similar to the Chinese's one!

'The City Hall'
The red city hall is a place where the Nobel prizes have been given. It was so grand and look really nice along the river. Above all, a view from its tower presend a lovely face of Stockholm's old city (the island that I tried to hold in my hand on the right)

'In the evening', we had a little shopping and then drove to another UNESCO's world heritate 'open museum in the garden' on the near by island. Unfortunately, we couldn't access to it by car and decided to go to Oslo, Norway after that. We also visited a castle (right) and had a pretty late dinner along the way.
